The idea of ICE Cognac was to blend a cognac especially for drinking 'on the rocks' but also to mix in cocktails. The winemaking team at Domaines Francis Abecassis, the creators of ABK6 cognacs, decided to blend a specific cognac for consumption over ice.
Using fresh, floral eaux de vie and focusing more on aromatic profile rather than age, the ABK6 team have created a cognac with develops as it gets colder.
The older cognacs in the blend give the fruitiness and vanilla character ICE demonstrates at room temperature, and the young cognacs reveal the most light and fresh flavours evident as the temperature gets colder.
