Bearnaise Chicken Recipe

Travel to France with this Bearnaise chicken recipe using a range of products sold at Approved Food.

Ingredients:
  • Chicken (Approved Food meat hamper £15)
  • Heinz creamy Bearnaise sauce (2 for £1.00 or £0.59 each RRP £1.68)
  • Carrots (Crosse and Blackwell sliced carrots 2 for £1.00 or £0.59 each RRP £1.00)
  • Asparagus (Lima Gold Green asparagus £0.99 each RRP £1.85)
Method:

Preheat the oven to 180C/ 165C fan/ gas mark 4. Add some oil to a frying pan on medium heat. When hot add the chicken breast and brown the outside for 2 minutes on each side. Next, add the chicken to a baking tray and further cook in the oven for 10 minutes or until fully cooked inside. Whilst the chicken cooks, heat the Heinz creamy Bearnaise sauce in a small saucepan on medium heat until it starts to boil. Lastly, boil the carrots and asparagus in salted water until soft but tender.

Plate up chicken, pour over the sauce and serve with the vegetables. Most importantly, make sure the food is piping hot before serving. *Leftover chicken mixture can be frozen but make sure it is fully cooled beforehand *.
