First order at Approved Food – Box opening

Good morning !

Yes, in fact, it was a good morning, I love receiving parcel and I received one from Approved food today. It was my first (but surely not last) order from them.

I have to say I was very pleased with the delivery method. I received an email from DPD saying when they were coming to deliver, and this morning I received a second email with a 1 hour time slot which was very convenient. Not that I’m often out of the house (with this gorgeous Scottish weather…) but eh ! It’s good to know when NOT going to take your shower ! πŸ˜‰
They said they were coming between 10:08 and 11:08 and ….

Yey ! Delevery man is there ! Right on time πŸ™‚

Sooooo … he arrived with that !

Nice big box !

So I opened it, with Clémentine by my side, just wanted a sneak peek in this box of wonders (!) I was pleased to see how well they took care of the packaging, making sure glass products (like Maille vinaigrette) couldn’t be broken.

Here’s what I had in my box, you curious little thing !

Save on Goods £32.30 !

Those NOMU dippers looks so good, I can totally picture myself on a lazy saturday lunch, baking some nice bread and then dipping it in that with good olive oil !
I took a box of easy to bake cupcakes, we’ll have good fun with Clem doing that πŸ™‚
I thought dried onions would be a good addition to a savoury bread πŸ˜€
On this picture you can see as well :
1 kg broken chocolate biscuits
Cream of celery Campbell soup
Dried tropical fruits (with banana, coconut, cranberry etc)
Ready rolled Marzipan (I’ rubbish at rolling it so hopefully that will help !)
You can see on this picture :
Hot WHITE chocolate (those are seriously indulgent, they are real white chocolate chips to be melted in hot milk)
1 kg Tomato ketchup (For Miss Clementine !)
Adzuki beans
Sliced Almonds
Mini Star shaped pastas
You can see on this picture :
San Pellegrino Limonata (it’s a sparkling very refreshing lemon juice)
Italian Vanilla or Chocolate cakes
Maille Vinaigrette (Balsamic and orange)
Chocolate Flutes

With all that, I have a very happy Ketchup and cookies lover (not at the same time though!)

” Hey Mom ! Are you sure 1kg is enough for this week ? “
Broken biscuits not so broken after all πŸ˜‰

So I will probably come back here with recipe ideas with some of those products, but for now, I have to say, after I tasted some of them already, if you’re not sure about the quality of the food you buy when going with close-by-date or out-of-date best before produces, I didn’t see ANY difference with the products I normally buy, they were fresh, tasty and you get more for your money πŸ™‚ Go for it !
