Five Spice Pork Stir Fry

Travel to China with this Hoi Sin and five spice pork stir fry recipe using products sold at Approved Food.

Ingredients:

  • Pork (cut into strips (Approved Food meat hamper £15)
  • Tasty Bites organic long grain rice 250g (£0.99 each RRP £1.79)
  • Sharwoods hoi sin and five spice cooking sauce 425g (£0.99, RRP £1.70)
  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 1 Carrot (sliced thin)
  • 250g snow peas or broccoli (cut small)

Method:

Add some oil to a frying pan and heat on medium heat. When hot add the pork strips. Cook until browned over but not fully cooked, 1 -2 minutes. Add the veg and further cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the Sharwoods hoi sin and five spice cooking sauce and cook for a further 2-3 minutes. While the mixture cooks, cook the rice as described on the packet. Serve by platting up the rice then add the stir fry mixture on top. Serve straight away. Make sure the food is piping hot before serving. *Leftover stir-fry mixture can be frozen but make sure it is fully cooled beforehand *.
