Honey Mustard Chicken

Try this honey mustard chicken recipe with mango, yes mango and mash potato and veg using products sold at Approved Food.

Ingredients:

  • Honey mustard sauce (Celebrate Health Honey Mustard Recipe Base 175g 2 for £1.00 RRP £1.99)
  • Chicken  (Approved Food meat for a week hamper £15)
  • Mango slices (Princes Mango Slices in Juice 432g 2 for £1.00, RRP £1.00)
  • Mash potatoes (Smash Instant Mash Potatoe Cheese and Onion Flavour 107g 3 for £0.99 RRP £0.74)
  • Asparagus (Lima gold green asparagus 230g £0.99 RRP £1.85)

Method:

Preheat the oven to 200°C/ 180°C fan/ 6 gas mark. Fry the chicken and cook until browned on the outside to seal the juices. Add the meat to the heatproof dish and pour over the honey mustard base. Stir till everything is covered in the base. Garnish with rosemary (optional). Place in the middle tray and bake for 15 minutes. Then add the sliced mango and further cook for 5 minutes or until the meat is cooked. Prepare the smash as stated on the packet. Boil the asparagus in salted water.

Time to plate up: Add the mashed potato to the plate, top with the meat and pour over the mustard sauce. Server the veg on the side. *The meat can be frozen but make sure it is fully cooled beforehand *.
