Madras Curry Recipe

 Ingredients:

  • Rice (Tasty Bite Organic long grain rice 250g £0.99 RRP £1.75)
  • Chicken (Approved Food meat hamper £15) – replace or supplement with vegetables – courgette, carrots, peppers etc
  • Oil (Flora sunflower oil cooking spray 300ml £.099 RRP £2.00)
  • Sharwood Madras cooking sauce 420g ( £0.99 each, RRP £1.70)
  • Naan bread
  • Pataks 6 plain pappadums (2 for £1.00, £0.59 each, RRP £2.00)
  • Mango chutney

Method:

Preheated a frying pan on medium and add the sunflower oil. Chop up the chicken and fry, making sure the chicken is fully cooked. Add the Madras cooking sauce and cook for 4 to 5 minutes or until hot, stirring occasionally (if using vegetables fry the chopped veggies for 2-3 minutes on medium. Add the Madras cooking sauce and cook for 4 to 5 minutes or until hot, stirring occasionally). Prepare rice as shown on the packet. Finally, plate up the rice and top with the sauce, serve with warm naan bread, poppadum’s and chutney. Make sure the food is piping hot before serving. *Leftover curry mixture can be frozen but make sure it is fully cooled beforehand *.
