Thai Red Curry Recipe

Bring the flavours of Asia with this Thai red curry recipe using a range of products sold at Approved Food.

Ingredients:

  • Rice (Tasty Bite Organic long grain rice 250g £0.99 RRP £1.75)
  • Chicken (Approved Food meat hamper £15) – replace or supplement with vegetables – courgette, carrots, peppers etc
  • Olive oil (Flora sunflower oil cooking spray 300ml £.099 RRP £2.00)
  • Thai red curry sauce (Sharwoods Thai red curry sauce 415g £0.99 RRP £1.75)
  • Flatbreads (Crosta and Mollica Classic Piada Flatbreads 300g 3 for £1/20 of £0.49 each RRP £1.79)

Method:

Preheated a frying pan on medium and add the sunflower oil. Chop up the chicken and fry, making sure the chicken is fully cooked. Add the Thai red curry sauce and cook for 4 to 5 minutes or until hot, stirring occasionally (if using vegetables fry the chopped veggies for 2-3 minutes on medium. Add the Thai red curry sauce and cook for 4 to 5 minutes or until hot, stirring occasionally). Prepare rice as shown on the packet.

Finally, plate up the rice and top with the sauce, serve with warm flat bread. Make sure the food is piping hot before serving. *Leftover curry mixture can be frozen but make sure it is fully cooled beforehand *.
