Powdered arrowroot is a popular culinary ingredient and we suggest using it for making biscuits, puddings, jellies, cakes and pastries or use it as a thickening agent for sauces, soups and gravies. Use two teaspoons of arrowroot in a recipe for every one tablespoon of cornflour it calls for. (We do not suggest using arrowroot as a thickening agent in dairy based sauces).
