Fancy a Hamburger?


Onion Rings:

  • 1 onion
  • 68g and 2 tbsp of flour
  • 142g milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp oil, plus some to fry
  • 1 tsp salt


Prepare the BBQ and coat the outside of the burgers with some oil (or heat up some oil in a frying pan over medium heat). Add the burgers once the BBQ or pan is hot. Cook the burgers by turning them every few minutes till brown and fully cooked inside.

Cook the bacon on the BBQ until crispy.

Whilst the burgers cook, make the onion rings if you fancy. Slice up the onion and soak in ice water for 1 hour. Dry well. Mix the flour, milk, egg, oil and salt until smooth. Heat oil in frying pan to 190°C. Dip an onion ring into the batter and fry until browned, about 5 minutes.

Slice the tomatoes and wash the salad leaves.

Time to plate up: butter the burger buns, top with salad and tomatoes. Place a burger on top followed by the onion ring and bacon.  Add the sauces you love such as mustard, tomato ketchup and mayonnaise and enjoy. *Leftover burgers can be frozen but make sure it is fully cooled beforehand *
