What is Chinese New Year?
Chinese new year is a festival that starts on the 16th February 2018 this year and lasts 15 days. It involves family reunions enjoying good food and sharing future prospects. It is also called Spring Festival in the Lunar calendar and represents the start of the agricultural year in Chinese culture.

Chinese Beef Stirfry:

Celebrate Health Chinese Beef Stirfry Recipe Base 175g |

- 1 Packet of Celebrate Health Chinese Beef Stirfry Recipe Base (175g)
- 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 500g Beef strips (thinly sliced) (Approved Food meat hampers)
- 1 small Onion (cut into thin wedges)
- 1 Red pepper (sliced)
- 1 Carrot (sliced)
- Amoy Straight to Wok Rice Noodles 300g (2 for £1.00) or Tasty Bite Organic Long-Grain Rice 250g (£0.99 each) or Tasty Bite Organic Basmati Rice 250g (£0.99 each)
Heat oil in a wok or frying pan. Add beef strips and onion, stirfry for 5 minutes or until meat is sealed. Add the Chinese beef stirfry recipe base,sliced pepper and carrot. Stir until all ingredients are coated, cover and stirfry on high for 5 minutes or until beef is cooked. - 1 packet of Amoy Stir Fry Sauce Singapore Curry 120g
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 200g meat (thinly sliced) (Approved Food meat hampers)
- 320g of chosen vegetables (mushroom, pepper, carrot, onion, beans etc.)
- Amoy Straight to Wok Rice Noodles 300g (2 for £1.00) or Tasty Bite Organic Long-Grain Rice 250g (£0.99 each) or Tasty Bite Organic Basmati Rice 250g (£0.99 each)
Heat oil in wok. Stir fry chicken pieces for 3 to 4 minutes then add the veg and further fry until fully cooked. Add sauce, stir for 1 minute. Heat oil in wok. Stir fry chicken pieces for 3 to 4 minutes until browned then add the veg and further fry for 2 minutes and until fully cooked, stirring often. Add sauce, simmer for 3 minutes. - 1 pack Lee Kum Kee Sauce for Ma Po Tofu (80g)
- 90g minced pork or beef or chicken (Approved Food meat hampers)
- 250g soft bean curd (diced) (optional)
- 320g of chosen vegetables (mushroom, pepper, carrot, onion, beans etc.) (pre-cooked)
- Spring onion (garnish) (optional)
- Amoy Straight to Wok Rice Noodles 300g (2 for £1.00) or Tasty Bite Organic Long-Grain Rice 250g (£0.99 each) or Tasty Bite Organic Basmati Rice 250g (£0.99 each)
Stir-fry minced meat in 1-2 tbsp oil until done. Add soft bean curd and/or cooked vegetables plus the Lee Kum Kee Sauce for Ma Po Tofu. Stir well lightly. Cook over low heat until sauce thickens.
