Pineapple and Apple Crumble

Ingredients:

  • 225g Plain flour (Great Scot plain flour 500g 2 for £1.00 RRP £0.59 or Mcdougalls Plain Flour 1.5kg 2 for £1.20, RRP £1.78)
  • 110g Butter
  • 75g Sugar (Silver Spoon Granulated Sugar 1 kg 65p)
  • Pineapple pieces (Princes Pineapple Pieces in light syrup 565g 2 for £1.50, £0.89 each RRP £1.00)
  • 3 Apples
  • Ambrosia Devon Custard 1kg (2 for £1.50, £0.89 each, RRP £1.85)

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180°C/fan 160°C/gas mark 4. Mix flour and butter till it forms fine breadcrumbs. Add the sugar and mix. Drain the syrup from the pineapples and place the pineapple fruit inside an ovenproof dish. Peel and chop up the apples and place into the dish with the pineapple. Place the breadcrumb mixture over the top of the fruit. Place on a middle tray of an oven for 40 minutes or until browned and bubbling. Serve hot with the Devon custard.
