WINNERS: February Recipe of the Month Competition

What a ridiculously splendid assortment of entries came in for Approved Food’s inaugural Recipe of the Month Competition. Who would be a judge?!?!

But a winner there had to be and our first prize goes to Heidi Taylor from Bristol for her Chargrilled Chicken and Spicy Cous Cous.

Heidi’s Approved Food account will soon be credited with £75.

In second place was Bea Selby from York for her Chinese Style Egg Fried Rice. Bea can expect £25 to appear in her approved food account very soon.

Quite honestly I was staggered by the standard of entries received and would have happily munched on the lot.

We will be adding the winning recipes to the blog (and also some of the runners up) throughout the month so you can see what you need to do to scoop the prize in March.

Entries for the March competition should be sent to james@approvedfood.co.uk by Wednesday 27 March.

Thanks to everyone that participated in February. I look forward to seeing what you can come up with this month.

Obviously some ingredients will have to be sourced elsewhere, but the Approved Food products must be a key component of the dish you’ve created.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Your ingredients
  • Costings and the overall price of the meal
  • The instructions so someone else could recreate your recipe
  • Photos of the final dish (send some photos of the preparation too if you like)
  • A brief write up of what the meal tasted like
  • Your name and where you live

We will judge on creativity, price and how appetising your creation looks. Don’t worry it is a recipe competition not a writing or photography one.
