Ingredients:

  • Santa Maria Guatemalan Smoky Chilli Bean Sauce 200g (£1.49 each RRP £1.80)
  • Mince (Approved Food Meat for a week hamper – £15)
  • Oil (Flora Sunflower oil cooking spray 200ml £0.99 each RRP £2.00)
  • Asparagus (Lima Gold green asparagus 230g £0.99 each RRP £1.85)
  • 1 onion
  • Rice (Seeds of Change Organic Quinoa and Wholegrain Rice with a Hint of Garlic 240g £0.99)

Method:

Add some oil to a frying pan and heat on medium until hot. Dice up the onion and add the mince and onion to the frying pan and fry until the meat is browned over and the onion is soft and translucent. While the meat browns cut up the asparagus and cook until soft but tender. Reduce the heat to low and add the Santa Maria Guatemalan Smoky Chilli Bean Sauce to the frying pan with the mince. Stir well and simmer for 2 minutes or until everything is cooked. While it cooks heat up the rice in the microwave. Toss the asparagus with the meat and sauce and coat. Serve with rice. Make sure the food is piping hot before serving. *Leftover mince mixture can be frozen but make sure it is fully cooled beforehand *.

This recipe can also be made without the mince, just cook up some onions and peppers to substitute.
